About Me...

About Me

My name is Alleigh Raymond, I am 16 years old and I live in the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina.

My love for fly fishing and writing formed when I was 10 years old. I grew up with the classic, conventional fishing pole but through a family friend who gave me my first fly rod, I quickly became enthralled in the sport.

Not soon after I received that fly rod, I discovered that my local wildlife center has free fly fishing classes, which to my 10-year-old self-was like the answer to a prayer.

I was trying to learn absolutely everything I could about my new, found activity in hopes to become the best angler I could be.

Here I am, 6 years later completely in love with the sport and everything that encompasses it.

I've made writing my way of sharing my passion with other people all with the effort of introducing a woman's perspective to a mainly male-dominated sport.

and that is my misson!
